The National Health Expo, Citywest, Dublin

  •     14th Feb, 17

This week, ASD attended the National Health Expo in Citywest Hotel, Dublin. The event brought together regulatory officials, senior executives from Public and Private Hospitals, medical technology companies, and medical professionals in an effort to create an innovative, efficient and sustainable healthcare industry through knowledge-sharing and collaboration.

There were a number of stages with several excellent presentations and discussions. New technologies were discussed as well as GS1 standards, which will be introduced into legislation in 2018. A National Patient Experience survey is currently being carried out by a collaborative effort from the HSE, HIQA, and the Department of Health. The results of which will be published by Q1 of 2018 and will provide a deeper understanding of patient requirements and how patient care can be improved upon.

ASD is committed to improving patient care through the use of its RFIDMedical patient tracking solution that allows hospitals to track and monitor the movement of patients and better manage the patient flow throughout the hospital.  RFIDMedical also automates the replenishment of critical nursing supplies, provides tracking of clinical samples and all of the hospital’s assets, thereby providing an integrated and transparent hospital management system.
